A Leap of Faith

Today is a wonderful day for me because it is both the end of one chapter and the start of another.

Today was my last day as a staff member at The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Canada. I am so incredibly thankful to have worked with such amazing people. And even though this is the end of my time as a staff, I will forever be an alumnus and advocate of the Award.

Today I finished work at 5:30 pm and immediately started my next adventure at 6 pm (a gala for the most inspirational immigrants in Atlantic Canada). After deciding to pursue photography as my full-time job, this adventure is my first job.

This has been a decade in the making. It feels unreal and yet so real at the same time.
I am so blessed and excited to be able to pursue my passion with the talent and gifts that God has given me.

This is a huge thing for me because it’s also the start of creating/joining a community in and around my studio. It is a community for people to come as they are and feel like they can conquer the world—a safe place for people of all walks of life and abilities (more on that later).

If you’re interested in following along, I will be documenting my adventures through blogs/vlogs and quick posts (including blasts from the past about how I got to where I am)!

Thank you for all the love and support over these last ten years. I could not be more grateful for the community I belong to, both virtual, long-distance and in person.
