Therapeutic Photography is a tool for healing, growth and further understanding of oneself. Photography assists individuals to step outside of their thinking and being in the moment. P4P aims to provide workshops that encourage individuals to explore the power of Photography. When paired with writings or other photos, images created within therapeutic Photography can tell a story of their journey. It involves learning and reflecting on where you started to where you are now. Therapeutic Photography can also assist in creating a more dynamic view of the world.
Mental Health is further discussed, and conversations are more acceptable and added to everyday life. Each day, the discussions concerning mental health and wellbeing, in general, continue to grow. People are becoming more willing to discuss work/life balance, general anxiety, and prioritizing self-care. These items are a large portion of P4P’s mission, meaning that having these conversations continue to grow allows the door to open to show even more ways to keep these healthy habits in our everyday life.
The mission of P4P is to challenge young Canadians to develop skills and tools that will improve themselves and impact their communities. Providing support and a platform that is non-competitive which will help deepen self-awareness and build confidence within healing.
P4P provides resources within the program that equip individuals, groups, and other organizations with the necessary tools to go through the program and implement learning every day.
