About Me
Hannah has a love of photography and a passion for mental health. In January 2021, she published her first book, Pain V Passion, demonstrating how mental health appears in different people. Struggling with depression and anxiety for almost a decade has taught Hannah many things. The importance of family and community. The value of having a healthy coping mechanism, how vital it is, being honest with yourself, and asking for help when needed. She continues to run her community service project, Pics 4 Passion which encourages individuals to use the digital arts for self-expression, education and coping with everyday stress.
Hannah grew up in a small Nova Scotia community on the Eastern Shore. She spent many days in, on and around the water, getting to know those in her communities. Hannah is a Duke of Edinburgh International Award - Bronze, Silver and Gold Achiever in Canada. The program allowed her to focus on giving back to her community. Hannah has a diverse educational background, with certificates and diplomas in professional photography, nonprofit leadership, and disability management and is currently working on her undergraduate at Dalhousie University.
Hannah has received acknowledgement and thanks from the Right Honourable Justine Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, the Honourable Senator Moodie, the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia and Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II and others for her dedicated work in the community.
She continues her work and attends educational events or volunteers in her community. She is a national public speaker and facilitator for turning your passion into a purpose.
